Just give them distance and they will ignore you. Big fines for feeding, teasing etc. Sorry, Saltydog,we haven’t seen any gators, even on sunny days, for quite some time, up here. Oh, believe me, we will give them distance!
Even if we were dumb enough to feed or tease them, we definitely wouldn’t be brave enough, lol. Seriously, I don’t get people that do that. We were once in Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains when we saw a bunch of cars pulled off alongside the road, so we got out to see what the big deal was.
The big deal turned out to be a mama bear and her two cubs and people were actually approaching mama and whistling, yelling, and even tossing things at her, why on earth, I have no idea. She was growling and we got the heck out of there. Not only is this stupid, but it’s cruel.
