I am a big believer in having a mentor. I see myself as that role in the advice and experience I can give you, as well as think its important to find a mentor where you can to learn from their successes. A mentor can be a person you know already involved in real estate, someone that puts out a series of books that you really enjoy and relate to, or a real estate investing coach.

Please, when considering a coach, make sure they have the same strategy as you. There are so many ways to become wealthy in real estate, you REALLY need to do that one that really works with the amount of funds you have available, the amount of the returns you want on your investment, when you want to realize these returns, and how much time and effort you want to put into real estate investing. These four concepts will be explained in more detail in later posts, but for now here are my cautions before you pay large sums of money for a real estate investment coach.

I almost fell into that trap of using a guru that was expensive and
intimidating. I did some research and woman said she thought the guru
workshops helped her but, also mentioned, the Bigger Pockets site was
worth a look. I took a look and saved $2000 and got a whole lot of free
    advice.

It IS a good site, it helped me many times when I was searching for different, little items to consult with.
